Allen is the Senior Sector Partner and General Counsel of Athene Capital Group.

Allen Thomas is a dual qualified (US and England) international corporate lawyer with more than 30 years of experience in international transactions.

Allen is head of the London office of Partner at Egorov Puginsky Afanasiev & Partners LLP, where he has represented a number of international companies in cross-border acquisitions, joint ventures and IPOs.

He was previously a corporate partner in the New York based international law firm Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison for 20 years and was the founding managing partner of the Paul, Weiss Hong Kong office, and assisted in the creation of the Municipal Assistance Corporation to enable New York City to avoid bankruptcy.

Allen graduated from Wesleyan University in 1961 and earned LLB Degree at Yale Law School in 1964. He is admitted to legal practice in New York and Washington DC and qualified as a Solicitor in England and Wales. He is listed in Chambers Global, Who’s Who in America and The Best Lawyers in America, The Best Lawyers in the United Kingdom.
